Vox “voice” + Sana “health” (Latin)
Your Voice Doesn’t Have to Hold You Back
Big claim. I know. But it’s true — I’ve lived it.
Hi, I’m Jill Mitchell — TEDx coach, vocal coach, and recording artist. But my voice story was far from effortless.
I used to be terrified to speak. For years, my speaking voice felt small, hesitant, and apologetic. I obsessed over what people thought, micromanaged every word, and often stayed quiet instead of saying what I really thought. Meanwhile, my singing voice was strong, full, and powerful — so much so that I used to hide it, embarrassed by the contrast. The disconnect made everything even more frustrating. I tried programs, read the books, and studied with the greats — and eventually got my speaking voice under control.
But the drama was far from over. I developed a new struggle: an aversion to using my voice at all, with panic attacks, voice loss, and anxiety making speaking and singing feel impossible. That’s when I realized: technique isn’t enough. To unlock your voice — and use it with confidence — you have to work with the whole person: mentally, emotionally, and physically.
If your voice feels uncertain, flat, or strained, and it’s quietly limiting your influence, you’re not alone. The good news: you can reclaim it — and when you do, everything changes.
My Approach
What sets my method apart is its integration: I combine singing and speaking techniques with a holistic focus on the mind-body connection. We address the full spectrum of vocal blocks — from physical tension and breath control to self-doubt, stress patterns, and communication habits.
This approach is the foundation of Voxsana — a name inspired by the Latin words vox (voice) and sana (health). It’s about helping you access a voice that’s not just technically sound, but confident, authentic, and resilient.
I will show you how to:
- Unlearn habits that dilute your presence — filler words, vocal fry, uptalk, tension
- Build vocal presence and confidence for meetings, keynotes, or high-stakes conversations
- Strengthen your vocal instrument — for projection, clarity, and stamina that lasts all day
Whether you’re presenting to shareholders, leading a team, or performing on stage, the goal is the same: a voice that commands attention and expands your impact.
Why Voxsana Works
Your voice is more than a tool — it’s your daily edge. Whether you’re a leader, creative, or communicator, how you use your voice shapes how you’re perceived. My coaching is practical, high-performance, and designed for individuals who want to:
- Speak with clarity, confidence, and authority
- Break through internal and physical blocks
- Make a lasting impact — in meetings, on stages, or in moments that matter
If your voice isn’t working for you, it’s working against you. Voxsana helps you change that — from the inside out.
